I run a small construction inspection company on the east coast and in order to eliminate the need for drop cords and video tapes I recently purchased an Archos AV700 to record video directly from a ridgid sewer camera (basically a tube camera). When we dump the video off the archos unit onto our macbook pro the quality of the orignal file is fine, but quicktime won't play it, it only allows you to open the file and slide back and forth between frames. Sounds like a codec problem, but I've loaded all the codecs Archos told me to load (divx, 3ivx, xvid). I've used divx dr 2 to convert these files to mov. but that reduces the video quality to a level that is unacceptable for my customers. Archos has been ZERO help on this issue.

Can anyone shed any light on what my allow me to be able to process this video from the archos unit to a DVD without buring a copy of a series of useless blocks. FYI audio is not an issue as we don't record any audio
