  1. Any decisions on the best/easiest way to duplicate an already duplicated dvd (hopefully without re-encrypting)? Have seen other threads and they all say to use CloneDVD but was hoping that Image burn or something else might be able to copy disk to disk without re-encoding. Nero needs the plug-in for dvd burning, so that's out.

Have been using RipIt4Me and just re-ripping the duplicated dvds--just takes extra time to re-rip, reshrink (even though no change in settings), and then burn with Image Burn.

Was hoping ImageBurn could just read and burn a duplicate, but don't see any setting for that. I do see an ISO mode in image burn, and was wondering if the ISO mode woule read and copy to another dvd?

    Any help appreciated.

If the disc is already unprotected than the simplest and most reliable method is DVD Decrypter ISO->Read, ISO->Write. If you wanted to, you could use DVD Decrypter, ISO->Read to create ISO files for storage, and then use ImgBurn 2 to write those ISOs to disk later. Either will work, and work well. You do not need anything else for unprotected discs.

  3. Will using DVD Decrypter ISO read, ISO Write method be OK for dual layer disk also--no problem with layer break?

    Thanks again

No problem with the layer break because you are taking an image of the disc and duplicating it.

i actually use imgburn in build mode, using the dvd as source file, and do a direct disc-to-disc copy... works great!

  6. You leave all the same output settings as when you are burning the original post-Shrink folders? Ex: ISO9660 + UDF output? It will give you exact duplicate of the pre-dublicated disk? No doubling up of codes, etc.? Would save some time if this gives you exact duplicate of the ISO files?

    Thanks

I have a DVD-ROM and DVD burner on opposite IDE cables, and I simply put source in ROM, blank in the burner, and use RecordNow to duplicate. Easy.

If doing DL, then use ImgBurn to read ISO and then burn ISO. That works for SL too, if you don't have a reader/burner set up.
