Hello,

Recently I decided to seriously try to convert to linux 100% of the time. In order to do this, however, I need to use windows-only programs like iTunes. Rather than restart, I searched around for a way to use an emulator to boot into my existing Windows XP Home Edition install and use it. I found this guide for VMWare Server:
http://news.u32.net/articles/tag/windows
I followed the instructions and got my system all setup. I then tried booting and can get to my grub screen, where I selected Windows XP Home Edition, it then displays this screen and freezes, with the cursor jumping all over the place as you can see:

Alt+CTRL+DELETE will get me out of it and take me back to the VMWare home screen and begin the process again. I did try booting into the other partition, since this is an HP computer it has a HP Recovery Console installed on another small partition, I can boot successfully into that with full functionality. Also, when I restart I can boot into Windows XP just fine, it does not hang at this point. Any ideas about why this is occuring? I have created a seperate Windows Hardware Profile for VMWare but cannot get to that screen to set it yet. How can I get booted into Windows?

Thanks,

Garibaldi
