Hi i have a problem when encoding a movie with virtualdubmod.
I'm encoding with xvid and using the built in calculator to make a 2 disc movie 700x2=1400
and i put 1390 for a little space and it gives me the bitrate to set it as.
But when it encodes on the 2nd pass the file size is like 1.7 gigs instead of 1.4
i even tried gordianknot calc and it gives me the same bitrate.
although when i encode a movie to be set at 700mb it encodes right.
    can anyone help me?

yeah in the calculator it gives you the option to find your audio file and drag it in so that is also included so that isn't the problem either :/

  4. Try using AVICodec or GSpot to verify the bitrates of the audio and video.

Xvid can have problems if you've fiddled around with some of the more advanced settings. Try pressing the Load Defaults button to reset everything and then encode both passes again.
