    i have a media player control on a webpage , i want to play a mp3 file for 30 seconds and then stop the file how can i do that ?

    The easiest way would be to trim your MP3 to the 30 second segment you want to play. Then it just stops when it reaches the end.

    i have huge number of mp3 files,i do not want make new files , is there a way i can stop the player after 30 seconds for each file ?

    Maybe set up a loop and use the currentPosition value to determine when 30 seconds is up ?

    Maybe I don't understand. But what is the point of allowing a user to select between a "huge number" of mp3's, and then only allow them to play the file for 30 seconds?

    The only explanation I can figure, is that you are trying to sell them or whatever and you don't want them to be able to play the whole file, in which case you don't want the full file available anyway. The user could just bypass your player and download the mp3 directly.
