Hello every one
-This is my first post here. I am a newbie to creating and authoring DVDs VCDs
I have a Nero OEM version 6 and I downloaded DVD and created chapters and then I was able to burn first few movies but now Each time I add the file to Nero and them create chapter and once I start burning it will freeze (it will start and them al of the sudden the small screen that’s on the right site that shows the progress will stop and freeze)
OR
When I load the file and start burning it -it would begin the process but then once I play the DVD the movie would play for first few minutes and them screen would stop but the audio would still play normally
Any advice
Thank you In advance
Mark

I think many of us will give the advice to stop using Nero for anything but burning, which is the one thing it does well.
If your MPEG-2 video is DVD compliant (See 'WHAT IS' DVD to the upper left), then all you need to do is author and burn. I would try TMPGEnc DVD Author as it's easy to use and relatively inexpensive. You can also try some freeware authoring programs like DVD Authorgui or GUI for dvdauthor. You can also burn the VIDEO_TS folder with the freeware ImgBurn and not use Nero at all.
Or if your video is not DVD compliant, you will have to re-encode it to the DVD specification before authoring.
And welcome to our forums. -
Or else go to Nero site and download final Version 6 files
and do a little learning on your own.
Good Luck .......... -
This patch may help.

Hi and thanks for all the info I will try the link, but besides that is there any other software that you can recommend that would let me customize my DVDs (creating chapters, and manues
I am not a fan of all-in-one software so if there is a decent Authoring stuff and something to burn the file to DVD I would appreciate the input from you guys
Thanks Mark

I mentioned three authoring programs above and ImgBurn for burning. There is also DVD-Lab Pro, but it's a little pricey for me. If you want the best quality menus or motion menus and background music, buttons, etc., similar to a commercial DVD, it takes several programs and a fair understanding of how it all works.
We have guides for all that: https://www.videohelp.com/author
