I recently installed a Sony 830A DVD burner. The first 4 discs I burned on Taiyo Yuden 8x DVD-R's recorded just fine at 8x speed. I used Roxio Easy Media Creator 7 software. Since then, using the same software and discs, and selecting either 8x or 4x writing speed, the discs have written at an average 1x speed (ranging from 0.7x to 1.2x). I have no idea what happened to change the writing speed that is achieved. Any suggestions for fixing the problem would be greatly appreciated.
