    Hello

I personally have a Sony DCR-HC90E PAL camera. There is no problem to capture video from this camera to my computer.

Anyway. I borrowed an Canon XL1 camera from a company. I filmed with it and if I put the tape from the Canon XL1 camera to my Sony DCR-HC90E PAL camera I can watch the video I have recorded. But when I try to capture the video from my DCR-HC90E (with the Canon XL1 recorded tape in) I get this error in Movie Maker:

File.avi could not be imported. Unspecified error.

I tried to do the same thing with Sony Vegas, but I still get an error.

I'm from Norway and all I know is that the Canon XL1 camera was bought used from USA.

    Anyone have a tip?

The XL1 camcorder is probably recording NTSC DV 720x480/29.97fps. Check the file with GSpot.
