  1. The audio tracks are in vorbis. For some reason when I try to add the vorbis track to the video it doesn't work at all. I am forced to convert the vorbis to MP3 and that takes too long for me. Can someone tell me the proper way to add a vorbis audio track to a video using virtual dub?

  2. That's what I have. I add the vorbis track using Virtual Dub Mod and I interleave it with the video but it doesn't process the audio unless it is in MP3 format for some reason. Why is this?

Because adding vorbis audio to an avi is a really bad idea. mkv is probably the best container for vorbis audio with video other than theora. So best to re-encode or leave it as an mkv.

If you really want vorbis audio in an avi container, try ffmpeg. Probably the mkv is more compatible though.

  4. I don't REALLY want it. I just wanted to know if I could incorporate it into an AVI using virtual dub but I guess it doesn't work. It's alright though because I can still convert it to MP3 but it takes time and I don't really like that. Oh well. Thx anyways ppl.

If you only need one audio stream you could try mencoder with -ovc copy -oac mp3lame. Still slow, but easy to batch process so you can leave and do something else.
