    Hello All,

I was wondering if there is any application out there which is able to sum or combine
multiple audio tracks within an ASF file. I have a group of ASF files which
were created with multiple language tracks, which actually contain discrete
audio for narration, music, dialog, and sound effects, and I’m looking for a
way to merge them all audio down to one track.

    Any help would be appreciated,

    Christian

AFAIK, No app will do it directly. But it's possible to convert the audio to multiple WAV tracks and load in a standard multitrack audio editor, do a regular mixdown, and export to the format of your choice. (You'd have to convert/reencode anyway)

    1. If WMP can play the files (and they're not DRM'd), you can burn to audio CD.
    2. Rip the AudioCD to WAV files (stereo, 16bit, 44100Hz, LPCM)
    3. Load in DAW (ProTools, SoundForge, Audition, etc) or NLE that supports multiple audio tracks
    4. Mix down to WAV, etc.

If in doubt about what kind of ASF it is, use WM ASF Viewer (9 series), available from M$.
