  1. Im moving my current MKV collection onto a XDIVX dvd for play in my DIVX player.

I followed advice from baldrick using alltoavi to convert my MKV to XDIVX, I burned these new files and they played flawlessly. I was extremely impressed.
Later on I decided to take a stab at adding in the second audio channel and the sub channel into the AVI as I read an article where my DIVX player can change audio channel and activate the sub.

I took the pre-made XDIVX file and followed this tut: https://forum.videohelp.com/viewtopic.php?t=266194

I didnt have LAME installed so I just dled and installed it, removed the stream as a wav using the LAME CBR compression algorithm as outlined in that tut.
I burned the newly made file and the dvd player spews out some invalid codec error. I check the file and see the two audio channels are not the same.

    GSPOT shows audio channel 1:
    Codec: 0x0055 MPEG-1 Layer 3
    Info: 48000Hz 192 kb/s tot , Joint Stereo

    Audio channel 2:
    Codec: 0x0055 (MP3)
    Info: 48000Hz 192 kb/s tot (2 chnls)

How can I get channel 2 to have the same properties of channel 1 in a quick manner?

I have over 50 MKV files with 2 audio channels and would like a quick solution to rip the streams and convert them.

    Thanks!

I'm afraid I can't help you much, but I did find this interesting article about joint stereo: http://harmsy.freeuk.com/mostync/
