Try using MUXMAN which is a very simple DVD authoring tool. It makes no menu and the freeware version does not support chapters but it is very good at working if the files are compliant otherwise it will complain.

In short if you can author with MUXMAN then we can say the problem is with DVDAuthorGUI but if you cannot author with MUXMAN then we can say the problem is with the files and at that point we know to concentrate on your encoding process and/or the properties of the original files.

Okay I'll do that tomorrow or later this week because I have to start from scratch yet again.

I think I found the problem in the FitCD step I forgot to change it to Lanczos so I did it this time and if it doesn't work then I'll try the other program.

EDIT:
I got it to work with the Muxman encoder I'm burning the first episode on a DVD-RW right now as we speak so that I can test it out to see if the subtitles are fixed.

One more question would I just follow the steps for the other episodes too and add them indvidually to the DVD in Nero?

EDIT2: Okay that worked however I have black bars on the side of my video now so I assume I just need to set the border to zero so that what I did and am currently going through the HCenc step on the first episode now.

One more question is there away I can add chapter stops and stuff to the DVD?

Okay I've got all the video files converted to DVD but now I have problem I can only add one episode at a time to Nero it won't let me add more than one. Is there away I can add them all together?

EDIT: Well I burnt one episode to DVD with the left and right borders set to 0 and I still have black bars on the left and right on my Widescreen is there any way around that so I can just fix it so the subtitles show up all the way? I haven't been able to test on a 4:3 TV yet so I dont know if the bars will be there or not.

I'm now having some problems

1. I have black bars on the side of the video
2. I can only burn one episode on a DVD at once is there away for me to combine all the DVD files I've created into one


Also is there an easier way to do this maybe diffrent video conversion software because it took me about 5 hours to convert six episodes of a 30+ episode series and I was only to burn one episode to DVD well I used a DVD-RW.
