Does anyone know the best way?? i have videostudio 5.0 and i just started capturing with it. in the beginning it let me choose which codec i wanted for compression(i used huffyuv) but then the option for me to choose which codec i want just simply DISAPPEARED!! i mean does anyone know how to bring it back?? thanks for ur time

You might just want to choose another program... did you actually PURCHASE Videostudio, or was it bundled with something?
If you're capturing Huffy, I would highly suggest Virtualdub instead. Then you could encode the AVI to whatever using Ulead (though I would not reccomend it, try TMPGEnc or CCE instead).
Ulead products (Videostudio, DVD MovieFactory, etc) are very simple to use, and seem to edit fairly well, but I have rotten luck getting them to capture properly or encode well.
