    Situation:
I have a dozen DVD's of home videos that were authored about four years ago. (I think on pinnacle, but that probably doesn't matter. I don't have any of the original material in any other form.

For some reason (probably an automated process in the original authoring program) this material has a chapter break every minute or so.

I am consolidating and reauthoring some of these with menus and the enoumous number of chapter breaks is unwanted and creates problems in navigation

    Need:

I wish to remove some/all of the chapter breaks. Seems I should be able to do this in a lossless way. I am hoping for a solution freeware. Thanks in advance

PgcEdit will do what you want. The documentation will show you how to use the Chapter Editor.

If you are re-authoring them, just don't import any of the chapter info into the authoring program you are using

Every authoring program i have ever used either does not auto import this info or ask's first whether you want to or not. Then just add new one's where you want.
