I have on hand powerDVD4XP and ATI dvd with all in wonder radeon. Is there a crack or patch to disable macrovision with TV out? I can watch the movie on tv OK, but as soon as i click record, macrovision wrecks it.

I don't know if the ALL-IN-WONDER RADEON has a 848/878 chipset. If it does, go here.
http://www.iulab.com/ and download The Universal Tweaked bt8x8/bt878 WDM drivers.
I have the WINTV GO, running with these drivers, and it defeats macrovision. I also have the Phoebe TV Master working with the same drivers perfectly.
Hope this helps.

That sit has some good looking windows 2000 capture software, check it out, but alas, the driver he has are not for the AIW radeon, and they are for capturing anyways.
I have already diabled macrovision for capturing, so i can capture macrovision sources fine, i just cant record from a software DVD player using TV out to VCR. -
There is a program that fixes macrovision for tv out, for any card, with the major dvd softwares (powerdvd, windvd, possibly other.
There is a free trial for it, it nags every 5 minutes or so during playback, but you can see it works.
It's called "DVD IDLE"
It caches the movie as you watch it, to the hard disk, transparently. then powerdvd or windvd think it is a non protected vob stream. It works great.
