  1. I am using this guide...
    http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?t=139536

My problem is that when the DVD Decrypter created the AC3 files, they will not play in anything, and Nero won't even recognize them. They are in the folder tho. I tried using the other guide that uses Goldwave but Goldwave constantly freezes up on me when I add in the AC3 file.

    Any ideas?

You probably need a AC3 codec. You can use AC3 ACM Decompressor and open them with VirtualDub and convert them to other formats. Or there is also AC3 Filter for decoding. Sorry, I haven't tried to edit them, just convert them to other formats if needed. If I want to use them in a DVD, I just mux them out of the original video and add them in without changes when I author the MPEG file to DVD format.

If you just want to convert them to WAV, I use the AC3 ACM Decompressor and put the whole video file into VirtualDub Mod, then save out the audio as a WAV with full processing settings. If I need to edit the WAV, I use the freeware Audacity audio editor, then output as WAV again. Then you can use ffmpeggui to convert the WAV back to AC3, 2 channel.

    DGIndex has an option:
    (menu)Audio/output method/decode AC3 track to WAV
You can load all VOBs by dropping them together to the prog, check the above option and use 'save project' command from File menu.

  4. Or did you decrypt them as .vob instead of as .ac3? Check the extension.

  6. Back to the original question. Do any of the above suggestions work with the DVD Decrypter's extracted AC3 files? I am curious of the answer to that.
