I record and edit a number of tv shows daily and am getting a mad about the editing. I am usint the latest TMPGEnc mpeg tools. I have 576mb ram. i encode the shows at 320x240, 1.15mbit ( so i can fit 3 edited shows on a 700mb cd). When i am editing it it will say for example:
    Video Part: 546.67 secs
    Audio PartL 546.67 secs
when they are the same the outputted file will be just slightly out of sync, when they are slightly different the video will be in-sync. The original is perfectly ins ync all the way through. What can i do? is there any video performance settings i can use in Win2000? also what services do i need running in Win2000. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

It seems you are not alone--alot of people(including myself) get a/v synch problems after running through tmpgenc, and some people get perfect results--i guess it depends on certain things but I have no idea what they are. I have gone to vcd cutter to edit mpeg-1 and it is about 500% quicker with no synch problems (at least on my setup ) I guess you just have to experiment to find one thats good for your system.
