i have some downloaded files on my computer and i want to put them onto my memory card (ps2) without a card reader. how do i do that?

  2. You probably need a cheat device that supports a USB Pen Drive. Are these game saves you've downloaded? If so they are probably either Gameshark, Action Replay, or Codebreaker saves. You'd need to relevant cheat device to import those saves from a pen drive to your PS2 card on the PS2 itself.

You have to either install a mod chip, or, with the help of a friend with a mod chip, get some kind of save game exploit onto the mem card.
Unmodded PS2 don't read mem sticks.
But questions like these are better directed to PS2 fora.

What I'm saying is: You can't, if you don't have:
    A PS2 with a mod chip.
    or
A friend with a PS2 with a mod chip (that can help you transfer what you want from a memory stick to the mem card)
    or
A hardware memory card reader/writer for your PC

Un-modified PS2 can't read USB memory sticks - they only connect to things Sony wants it to connect to (like Eye Toy & cetera)

Actually it depends on what version PS2 you have.

The older boat anchor PS2's will read any USB flash drive, unmodded.
My son's is an older one that has never had a mod chip in it and we use it to transfer things from the pc via a memorex USB flash drive to our memory cards for use on both ps2's.

I know in the newer slim version PS2's they did something to stop this, mine is a slim version, 2nd or 3rd gen, don't remember off hand. and i thought the first gen slim ps2's still allowed it but i'm not 100% on that one.

We stopped using modchip's after our first PS2 & just use bootdisc's now, cheaper/easier and only takes an extra 30 seconds 8)

    Sony soooooo suck's
