I've seen a few mics be recommended. I use onboard sound from my motherboard. No actual soundcard. I'm not looking to really upgrade either. However, I'd like to do some voice over for a video. Will I notice a difference in voice quality with a more expensive mic? I use a cheap $10 mic right now and it's shit. Any suggestions?

I have used the cheaper microphones and a few that have cost over $100.00 bucks, You can tell the difference, but for doing voice overs you should have no problems. Just make sure to set the volume for the mic up. You can always use an audio editor to enhance the audio recording before you use it in the Video. Good Luck

If I needed a Mic, I'd get the Snowball by Blue. It's a way cool USB Mic.

Blue makes professional quality mics. The Snowball is their first pro-sumer product. If you look around, you should be able to find one for $100 or so. Shipping to Japan would be extra...

I wonder if they have this in Japan so that I can avoid the shipping.

Bodyslide is right, though. You could spend less money, but it probably wouldn't be as cool looking. Look on auction sites for better prices.
