There is a guide on this site which I need CRAM codec to view it, where can I get one please. I've searched (even here) but there is no lead to find one.
PS I don't know why people make things so difficult, you need a guide, to understand the guide, to understand the guide!!!!

you probably have it already. open whatever it is with wmp and it shouldn't have any problem, as it's a m.s. codec.

According to the fourcc lookup guides, it's "Microsoft Video 1." I'd think Windows would be able to decode it by default (possibly even download it for you if you're using Media Player) - but I couldn't say for sure, as I have ffdshow installed, which also decodes it.

I opened it in Media Player, and it played. (Note: I'm on a different system than the one I was on earlier. It's also playing in Media Player Classic. I did run it through GSpot, too, which did claim the necessary codec wasn't installed. But it still plays in WMP and MPC, so it should play in other players on this system.)

(checks VirtualDub, which also opens the video with no problems)

I wonder why GSpot would list the codec as 'not being installed' if all of these programs play it.

Thanks for the tip. It does open in VDub fortunately (but not anything else) so I'll just convert it to mpg or something, cheers.

For anyone else that might have trouble playing this guide, use VirtualDub and convert using Full Processing Mode for both Video /Audio and Save As .avi. Works a treat.

PS .... I'd still like the Cram codec if anyone has it let me know, thanks.
