Hello,
I recorded movie on my SONY DVD Recorder, but when I am trying to play on my computer, it looks little "jitter" (see solid areas e.g. faco of the girl). I would like to ask someone which filter should I use in Virtualdub (or other software) to erase or "smooth" this "jitter". Than I would like to convert this movie to XViD or x264. Thanks for help in advance.

The 'jitter' appears (and this is from a single still, so not definitive by any means) to come from low bitrate and noisy source. You could look at some of the denoising filters, however I suspect that by the time you have removed the 'jitter' you will also have removed most detail and will have a very plastic looking clip. Garbage in = garbage out, and if that still is representative of the clip, you have your work cut out for you.

Heres my attempt. I created a 5 second video (720x480 Huffyuv AVI) in Ulead VideoStudio from your still shot, then opened that in VirtualDubMOD
Here is my results and my filter list from VirtualDubMOD.
Needs more work I know, but it's a start.
Good luck.

I'd try a blur followed by a sharpen (~40) before any resizing in VirtualDubMod.
