Hi all. Was wondering if anyone uses, or knows of, a backup program that meets these conditions:

    1. shows you what files you've added to folder since your last backup so you don't have to backup whole folder again, only the new added files
    2. leaves session open to add more files and allows you to close session when cd/dvd is full
    3. let's you see what you've backed up on cd/dvd

I've tried a few backup programs, such as Stompsoft PC BackUp. However, one of the biggest downside was that after you've backed up files, the only way to see the files on the dvd was by restoring what you've backed up. I couldn't see the photos on the dvd.

I know Nero lets you see what you've backed up on cd/dvd and leaves session open as an option, but doesn't show you what files put on hard drive since last backup. I just don't want to backup a whole folder every time.

I know I'm asking a lot, but if anyone knows of such a program, please let me know!

In order to see what is already on the dvd, the dvd needs to finalized. With the cost of dvd's so low, just close the session/finalize the disc and/or use -rw discs.

    You don't have to.
Open Nero and choose Continue Multisession. Check Refresh compilation, Check Add New Files to Compilation and then check Replace Files in Compilation>File Date or Length changed.
This way the compilation will be refreshed with new and changed files, so you don't have to backup a whole folder.
I've been using Nero for a long time for all my current backups and never had any problem. I use CDs for multisession burning, and DVD-RW and DVDRAM media to backup large files.
