    Greetings!
I'm a begginer in all these matters of video encoding, converting, etc. This is why I signed in, hoping to learn with you guys!
I have a 80 gb video iPod. Using the Total Video Converter, it's very easy to convert video files to a iPod compatible format. But the thing is after converting, and after using the iTunes to put the file into the iPod, when I see the video at the iPod, it appears in the 4:3 format, all stretched, everybody and everything looking very tall and skinny!! The "letterbox"option in iPod is on, and before converting the file at TVC, I choose the 16:9 format (at the TVC preview, both black bars appear, the video runs correctly). I also tried different resizing, like 512*384. But the result is always the same!
Can anyone give me a hand? Thank you very much
    Best wishes to all.

Have you tried encoding in 4:3? Does the display change with "letterbox" off? The iPod only has a 4:3 resolution (320x240).
