  1. I am trying to edit some home videos using adobe premiere pro. The problems is that once I put the video on the time line the audio will not play. I was told that I should convert the video to avi.
    I was given a link in another forum leading to this page. I have been looking around but the guides I find do not say anything about how to convert from .mpg to .avi. I tried with Gordian Knot but it will not accept the .mpg files.
    So I am looking for a program that will do the conversion and also a guide on how to do it.
    Hope some one can help.

    If just the audio wont work just convert the audio in the mpg to wav with for example goldwave, open the mpg and save as as wav.
    Then add the mpg and the new wav in adobe premiere pro.
