I downloaded tmpgenc to edit a 30 minute mpeg file and just to try it out, I cut a piece about 30 seconds long from about 3/4 of the way through the clip. On playback, the audio was so out of sync that none of the audio was from the 30 seconds that I cut. The original is fine, though. Am I missing something?

i have the same prob
some1 did say 2 me that in the new version of "VirtualDub" they have fixt that prob
(streamserver(virtualdub)-->TEMPEnc)
it works beather now but still it gets out of sync at the end of the movie ;(
and i did also test to resync it with "GoldWave Sound Editor" but it didnt fix it ;(
(hmm i dont know if it's so that the out of sync time is not constant)
