dvd2avi is giving me a delayed ac3 file. It starts about 6 seconds after its need to start. When multiplexing with bbmpeg I have tried to change the starting points on the video(adding 6 seconds) and my output file looks like its about 2fps and it skips over the other 22 fps. Another words it looks like its skipping. Is there another way to do this. Anyone know of ac3 editing software so I can cut the first 6 seconds of the file?

Since you use dvd2avi to demux the track, which .ac3 decoder do you use? If you use BeSweet, set under OTA options Delay to -6000msec.

Hmmm, I dont seem to be having a problem cutting with virtualdub, just a problem with the sound sync. when i play the avi with mediaplayer, its fine, but when its loaded into virtualdub, the sound lags by about 5 secs or more.
Does any1 know why?
I like work it fascinates me.
I could sit & watch it all day! -
I am not sure which program dvd2avi demux's with, so let me know how to find out. I also heard that the mpeg2 codec under the tools section is causing this problem. I will take that off and let you know if it did the trick.

That did the trick!! Word of warning for anyone using the mpeg2 codec in the tools section, and multiplexing with bbmpeg. Remove the codec to save you headaches!!
