I have a Panasonic DMES35V DVD VCR combo. I hooked it up over the weekend I recorded on the VHR as well as the DVD with no problems.
I put a pre-recorded VHS tape in and watched with no problem. When I try to eject the tape it will not come out. The door opens then closes and get the message FO6 on the units screen. I can't find anything in tht manual or on Panasonics web site about this.
Any ideas?
TIA
Mark

The "FO6" is the last recorded failure code. In this case, it has detected a failure in the `cassette up` part of tape ejection routine. Some part of the mechanism is likely fouling on something. Can you still operate the tape?

Laserman,
Thanks for the reply, Need to check it out when I get home tonight. What implications are there if the tape plays? What can I do to get the tape out? Any ideas.

May be just a `hick-up` in the mechanism, in which case you should be OK. However, if the machine won`t eject the tape, things become complicated. There are essentially 3 methods of tape removal. The first involves nothing more than using the remote in Service Mode, the second, a 9V battery and screwdriver, and lastly, complete removal of the tape mechanism.
