Hopefully someone will be able to assist - just downloaded 'ffmpegx' and went through set up fine

I'm starting a vodcast and trying to convert some files to .flv. Tried a 'dummy-run' on a .mov file I have, ensuring the target format is set right (I think) and clicked encode which brought up another dialogue box titled 'ffmpegX progress' - then it seems to have worked as it creates a .flv file on desktop but the file has no content. Tried it again using other formats (converting to mp4 etc) and the same thing - it creates the file but nothing is in it... help!

Apologies if I haven't explained this right but I'm a totaly newbie to this so please go gentle

Thanks in advance for your time.

try Visual Hub for creating .flv, works pretty cool.
If you want proper help using ffmpegx, post your query
over in the ffmpegx forum, a few clicks down
    on the main "forums" page.

However for wider distribution and acceptance by
iTunes for your podcast, use iSquint and create
.mpeg4 files. Your audience will love you for it,
as .flv is unplayable on iPods.
