I have a VIDEO_TS folder on my hard drive containing authored VOB files which I would like to extract to MPG, splitting them by chapter. Previously I've found the only way I've been able to do this is to burn to DVD first and then rip.
Could somebody please guide me towards some software which would allow me to do this from my hard drive? Thanks.

Make an image from the video_ts with imgtools. Mount it as a virtual dvd drive with daemon tools. Rip and split it by chapters with dvd decrypter.
Maybe other easier methods...
