    1) SUPER is one way, Total Video Converter is another

    2) As small as you want it to be. Video size is determined by running time x bitrate. Use a small bitrate, get a small file. However you have to balance this against image quality and resolution.

    3) Just burning, or encoding ? For just burning, imgburn 2 for DVD video, Prassi ONES for everything else

    4) Don't use Windows Media Payer. VLS or Media Player Classic will let you choose which audio you want to have playing. Or you can use virtualdubmod to remove the audio you don't want.

For 1), it really depends on whether or not the video is an FLV-format Flash video (or even FLV video inside a SWF, if that's possible). If it's a regular SWF, you'll need a different type of converter... or just use a capture program like Camtasia to capture the video as it's playing to an AVI.

    1) If I use a capture program won't the quality be different (sound/picture)?

    3) So is Nero 7 any good? I install it and is seem easy to use but there are other stuff install as well, which mess-up my PC. (some picture program)

Yes. But there may not be a way around it. Standard SWF Flash video files aren't regular digital video files, so you can't just convert them in much the same way. There are SWF-to-AVI converters available, but most of them are commercial or shareware, so I couldn't tell you how well they work. I've tried one of the freeware ones, and all it did (as far as I can tell) was just copy the soundtrack to WAV/MP3 and let you take still frames from the original video to compile to an AVI - if you could get it to work, that is.

Opinion around here seems to prefer 6 over 7, if you use Nero. I haven't tried it (Nero 7), so I can't comment. I know Nero Showtime (or whatever the 'player' was named; I don't have it installed on this system ) tried to take over the movie filetypes (maybe others like MP3 as well), and I had to reset them back to the other players I was using, but that's about it. Programs stealing file types from other programs is nothing new, unfortunately.

    It's been a while...But I think you can use a "Custom" install,
to just install the apps within Nero that you want to use.

    Maybe someone can confirm.
