I have just bought a windows xp pro os w/sp2 OEM installation kit,and noticed that on the front it says "Licensed for distribution only to specific countries within Latin America". What does this mean for me who lives in the Bahamas? I searched the internet and found a few others, and some say the US & Canada some say EU...can anyone tell me whats the difference? Is it functionality, is the one i have any less or more sophisticated, i would like to know before i install and get screwed. Holla back

Contrary to your belief, the Bahamas is not part of Latin America, were not even part of the Caribbean, though most people believe we are. If you look at most readings we are discussed as "the island nation" not "the carribbean island" e.g Jamaica
And how sure are you their is no difference in functionality. Have you encountered this scenario as well, or some experience around it? Hope to hear from you soon.

And "specific countries within Latin America" seems a pretty stupid way to define it; I don't think "Latin America" has a legal definition, they should just list the "specific countries". How many could there be?
