coverting captured dvd mpeg to divx using divx converter help

I capture tvshows from freeview (tv) to dvd mpeg pal format using ulead
and convert them using the divx converter from divx.com
only problem is the quality is really poor compared to the captured mpeg
I.E. blury faces etc.

Is there any settings i can try or other software which is not to difficult to use.

I'd love to know how the eztv hdtv group on torrents do it theyre amazing compared.

Try instead AutoGK. Test different bitrates/output file size and video frame size/resolutions.

But you can't compare it with divx that are converted from better sources like progressive dvds or hdtv rips. Better video source means that you can make better divxs.

Thanks AutoGK is much better than divx converter the quality difference is amazing.
