Hi,
I have firmware version 1.2.3 which I updated with my old win 98 machine when I first installed this into my mac.
Now version 1.2.9 firmware is out - but it will now allow downgrading firmware![]()
Which is better - should I "upgrade" to the new firmware, or use the crossflash to the DVR-111L firmware for DVD-RAM support? I use this drive primarily for watching and backing up my DVD's - so DVD compatibility (as promised with the update) is very important. But - It would be neat to be able to burn a DVD-RAM.
Please see: http://wwwbsc.pioneer.co.jp/product-e/ibs/device_e/dev00002r_e.html#f_111d
My main concern - I cannot downgrade firmware after updatig to 1.2.9
Suggestions / thoughts?
TIA!
