looking for a certain dvd player to buy

hello, i am looking into buying a new dvd player to buy, but i want one that is region free (will play both ntsc/pal dvds) and can play data cds/dvds (will play avi/mpg/etc. files burned onto data disks). is there a dvd player that has both of these features? any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks

OPPO OPDV971H can do all of this. Probably there is a process for conversion other OPPO models into region free also.

Any player that supports Divx will be able to play raw files (AVI, MPEG) burned as data discs. Many players can be made region free. I think all Philips players can be made region free. Oppo makes some very highly regarded players and you'll need to check, but I think the last time I looked their web site was touting how their models were region free.
