Has anyone used of of these instead of a Sony memory card?
    How well does it work?

  2. Avoid it. These things require you do boot up with a special CD in order for the PS2 to even recognize the extra storage and they are prone to corrupting and losing data. Either stick with Sony or go with Mad Catz or Nyko 8MB cards. I prefer Nyko. Hori is good too for imported goods.

I was asking because I noticed my son had bought one.
It doesn't have any special CD & the PS2 recognizes all the memory. So far he has only used it with Madden 07 and it's working so far.

  4. there rubbish, sooner or later it will corrupt.my kids one did,big style, and took the memory slot with it.
and my mates old style one with the cd,corrupted the sony memory stick too,as you could use that one and compress data on it..

  5. Might be a bit different than the ones they use to make. Regardless, Datel is still a crappy company with shoddy products.
