  1. Like most people I have a couple of films in avi format that i want to encode using TMPGenc.
I want to encode it in two projects ie: 45 mins each so that when encoded they will fit on two CDs
I know this is possible using TMPGenc but can someone please give me step by step instructions on how to do it.

    Thx in advance.

  2. I think this will work:

    Open Tmpg
    Load your AVI
    Load your template
    Click Settings
Set all parameters, IE CBR, Bit rate, ETC
    Go to the Advanced tab
    Select Source Range
If you move the slider you will see your movie.
Pick a spot in the middle
    Hit Set End Frame
    Write this number down
Slide to the start and hit Set Start Frame
    Press Ok then start encoding
    When done:
    Go to Advanced settings
go to the spot where you ended
Make that the NEW start Frame
Go to the end of the movie
Make that the END of course
Ensure you save this file as something different, like DISC 2

    Start encoding

    Hope this helps

An easier way would be to set the end point, save the project, go directly back to source range, go to end point, set start point, move to new end point, set end point, save under another name, batch encode.
