I have a Panasonic DMR-ES15, RF Modulator, TV, and Scientic Atlantic-Exporer 2000 Cable Box. I want to be able to watch one program while recording another channel. How do I hook this up?

If you are wondering why I use a RF Modulator, it is because with previous cable company, I need one, now, I have a new cable company, Time Warner. I am not even sure if I still need one, now.

But the main goal, is to watch one channel while recording another. Now, I can only watch the same channel that I am recording, so something is not hooked up, right. Any suggestions, as to what I am doing wrong?

    Thanks

ok here goes from cable outlet in wall attach cable , attach splitter to that cable ,attach cable to each output on splitter, attach one cable to input on cable box, attach another cable to output on cable box then attach that to input on tv.then attach the other cable to the input on panasonic, since im guessing other input on tv are the red white yellow called composite hook those cables to output on panasonic and the input on tv if you want you can use s-video but you have to use red and white composite anyway to get audio.when you turn on tv you should have different video options usually channel down from channel 2 you should see panasonic of course cable will be on channel 3 on my tv the button to use is called tv/av it gives you the other av options .the panasonic wont get all the channels on box if you want to record you have to hook up r,y,w cables to cable box you should have on panasonic extra inputs.i hope this helps let me know .pat
