netscape browser 8.12

does anybody here use this browser. just wondering if you have this annoying problem which is bugging me frequently. it's this window(see attached image) which pops us after double-clicking the program icon to start the program. i have to click cancel in this window, then it disappears just to appear again, then click cancel again and so on. this process sometimes repeats more than 3 times until the program finally opens. any idea why.

Change your homepage and see if it goes away. I've seen that error in Firefox before on pages that have scripting error in them. Try to rule of the page your browser it opening to first. BTW, I'd recommend dropping Netscape and switching to Firefox or Mozilla Suite. Netscape is built off Mozillas products anyway.

thanks for the reply. have tried several times in the past changing the home page but this problem just keeps on coming back. i feel like giving up on this program already. and maybe you're right. time to switch to another browser. too bad i've been a loyal user of this program since version 4.

Netscape is based off Mozzila Suite I believe. Give that a try or just Firefox if you don't need all the extra stuff the Suite has in it. You might like it better than Netscape once you get use to it.
