I have been having a lot of trouble with enocding video into flash. I have been using raw DV and avi formats to encode into flash video. I can then make the videos but they won't work online. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get these videos working? Thanks

What programs and what proceedure are you using to convert the video to FLV? You might look at this site for some general information about FLV videos: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FLV

I don't do FLV conversions, but other members should have some experience with those sort of conversions.

    And welcome to our forums.

i have been using Macromedia Flash 8 VideoEncoder i convert from an avi file or raw dv. I have tried VP6 and was told that Sorenson Spark might be better so i tried that too. I resize the image and that is about it.

I'm not sure what your problem is, but try this. Look at the path that you have difined in the FLA for calling the FLV. When you posted the SWF, the path may still be trying to pull the movie from your HD. You have to enter the path in the FLA that will be used on your website. Flash will tell you that it is unable to load the movie, but when you drop the FLV and SWF files into your folders for your site, everything should be fine.

Let me know if this is not the issue. I'll try to think of something else.
