    When i start dvd shrink 3.14 it will analyze fine and will let me select the features i want and proceed to backing up. As soon as I click backup the program just closes with no error message. This happens with every dvd i have now. It used to work perfect but i stopped ripping my movies for a few weeks and now that i started up again i have this problem.

    You're probably overclocking and your memory speed is set to high.

    As far as I know everything is stock from dell. Is there anyway I could check and make sure or any easy solution to that problem?

    Just guessing, but maybe Shrink can't find where it's working files are stored? Is the destination set properly in Shrink's preferences? Do you also have a burning program set?

    I use a version of Shrink that automatically burns with the freeware ImgBurn. Info here: http://forum.digital-digest.com/showthread.php?t=63869 This would also give you a reinstall of DVD Shrink, which would have been my other recommendation.

    If all this only happened with newer DVDs, I would also say to use RipIt4Me before using Shrink. With this combination, you should be able to back up about any DVD you have.
