Hi there ... first post so here goes,
Having downloaded a film, I wanted to burn it to watch on my normal DVD/TV. But the downloaded files were numbered .001, 002 etc. These I joined together using HJSplit to form a file called xpdvd-mi3-r1-ntsc-dvdr there is no file extension !!
I have tried to rename it .iso and burn it and nothing happens.

Do you have any clues as to what I can do to watch it ?

    Thanks in advance,

    G

Most likely, you missed a RAR file, which is the one you should have opened!

hjsplit is not usually used on movies except by some porno groups. try winrar to re-assemble the multiple parts.

but remember pirated movies are a no-no around here, so if it's not a public domain movie don't mention it's name.

the newer versions of winrar can have parts numbered from .001 and not have rar in the name.

you need to start over again with the individual pieces that were numbered from 001 to 090 or whatever the last part was. install winrar and then select the 001 file and open with winrar. it should take a minute then show what is in the archive. at that point you can click extract in the winrar buttons and pick a place to save it.

There's no std for stuff you "find" on the Internet. You're asking questions about illegal downloads. Not allowed. Locking this thread. Buy the movie. Save you time and trouble.
