I have a PC TV Tuner and I record shows frequently but then I have to either watch them with ads or go through the process of cutting the ads out, then resaving them and then having to convert them to Divx. It's very tedious and time-consuming so I was wondering if there was a program that made cutting ads out easy/easier and could also make the output file a good compression file format like Divx or similar. Thanks in advance!!!

    groggit,
With respect to cutting out commercials from TV shows, I have had good to excellent results using VideoReDo. Although I capture straight to MPEG2 and VideoReDo does a good job with this format, I am not certain about coverting to Divx, since I do not use that format.

Your DVD player has a fast-forward button. You can skip them while playing. I do this too, when I get lazy or impatient.
