  1. For Christmas this year I was very happy to get the boxed set of "The Godfather", but when I tried to play the bonus disc, some of the features don't work (mainly the deleted scenes) I tried it in 3 different dvd players, and none worked until I got to the DVD drive on my dad's mac. Even VLC wasn't able to play the deleted scenes. I was wondering if this is just some n00b problem, and it's fixable, or I just got a lemon (in which case I'm fucked, because you can't return DVDs)

I really want to be able to just watch this on my tv, and any push in the right direction will be greatly appreciated.

Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year!

Sounds like a bad disc. Most stores will allow you to return for exchange only on faulty discs. If the store won't exchange it, then a polite email to the manufacturer (Warner, Fox, CBS, etc.) will usually do the trick and they will exchange it for you.

  3. Thanks for the tip. I googled around a bit, and it seems many people are having the same problem. It worked fine in my buddy's ps2, so I guess I will just have to borrow it or something. Thanks for the reply.
