I've been looking around and haven't found anything to obvious so I thought I'd ask here.
Does anyone know of a player/server that can be scheduled for playback of video files? Specifically date and time and length of playback.
My idea is to hook up video out from the computer to TV monitor and play back certain video files at certain times troughout the day.
Any direction or suggestion are much appriciated. Thanks

VLC via commandline and Scheduled Tasks can definitely achieve playback of designated files at designated times. Dunno about quitting after a certain length of playback though.
Code:"c:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe" -f "c:\path\to\yourfile.avi" vlc:quit
More info on what you can do via CL here:
