I've never had much luck with those type repair programs unless it's a simple indexing error. You might try AVI ReComp as it fixes other issues with standalone players that can cause problems, such as GMC or Qpel, that may be in your video file.

I also use VirtualDub Mod and check the video for errors or bad frames. If all else fails, you can try to save out as a Direct stream copy with VDM or even re-encode the file.

    And welcome to our forums.

  3. If they're freezing because of bitrate spikes (the action gets too hot and heavy), there's no fix except to reencode them, limiting the bitrate jumps. AutoGK, setup with the ESS or MTK chipset option, can easily do this. They play fine on the computer, don't they?

If there's some other reason for these freezes, then reencoding may or may not help.

I have the same player and don't have the problem. I think you're dreaming if you think a simple patch can fix them all. I'd suggest reencoding one that freezes and then testing it out.

yes, they play fine on computer, so thought it is just a small bug and i can fix with software. I dont have this kind of problem with american movie (legaly downloaded).

i try to load a file with VirtualDub Mod, i get this error message at begining:

"VirtualDub has detected an improper VBR audio encoding in the source AVI file (Audio stream 1).
The current prefference is to rewrite the audio header with standare CBR values during processing for better compatibility. This may introduce up to 1 ms os skew from the video stream. If this is unacceptable, decompress the entire audio stream to an uncompressed WAV file and recompress with a constant bitrate encoder. (bitrate:64 +/- 00 kbps)''

But these file play just file on computer why it is not on my ternal DVD player(OPPO digital).

Well the problem is i download a lot of chinese movies like this, it is hard for me analyse every file and reencode it.
It must be a other way.

    Thank you very much.

VBR is the cause of many problems, usually only when doing conversions to MPEG. A Divx player should handle it, but you might try converting it to CBR and see if it helps.

Take one of your problem videos and using VirtualDub Mod, extract the audio as a WAV file, then convert it to MP3 CBR and you may find your problem disappears. Here's one guide for that: https://forum.videohelp.com/viewtopic.php?t=280779

You can add it back in and use Lame MP3 in VDM to convert back to MP3 CBR, then save the audio with full processing and the video with Direct stream copy. This doesn't take long, as you aren't changing the video.

If that cures the problem, then Gspot 2.60 can tell you about VBR in the green windows in the audio section fairly quickly. You could check one of your working ones and one of the none working ones and see if they are different.
