I have a video which is in 2 parts, when I try to join it with avidemux, I get frame problems, it just skips them, what I mean is when you play the movie, some frames dont show up, you hear the sound nothing happening then the frames start to go again.
If I try to use virtualdub, it just doesnt even want to work with the file.
After I join the file with avidemux then convert it to mpeg using mpgenc 2.5 it gets even worse, it cuts a frame every second.
The video information:
Pal: 25.ooo frames/s
Video: Xvid
Audio: AC3
There are 2 files.
using k-lite codeck pack 2.77 full.
In the end I want to convert the movie to ntsc with dgpulldown, that is once I can fix the frame problem.
Allso, Xvid usually gives me problems, not this kind of problem but a diff one.
Anything I can do to fix my problem.

If virtualdub is having issues with the files, then they are most likely corrupted and that is the cause of your issues. I would just find better source material.

In VirtualDub when you select 'Open video file', go to the bottom of the 'Open' page and tick 'Ask for extended options after his dialog' before selecting your file. Then click on 'Re-derive keyframe flags'. Then it will rekey the video stream. Then you can resave it and maybe it will be OK.
