  1. i have a pinnicle studio 500-pci that i got today.
    i have installed every thing successfully

    problem number 1:when i go to the recording screen and it shows me what i am inputing from my xbox360, it is in black and white,but the first time i used it it was in colour.

    problem number 2:when i try to output from the card to my tv,it shows up but the image is bouncing all over the screenand black and white.i have restarted my pc ,turned my xbox and tv off many times and no change.

    any help will be well appreciated.

    Do you happen to be using a S-video cable? That can happen if all pins aren't making contact. My next thought is you might have a PAL<>NTSC conversion problem. That can also cause color loss and it might explain the jumping. Or the framerate might not match the TV.

    I don't use either device, so these are just guesses.

    You could check the video with Gspot 2.60 and it might show something unusual.

    You could also try a different source for the video and possibly a different type of input cable, to see if it will work properly with other sources.

    Also for video PCI cards, don't use the PCI slot directly under the AGP card, as it usually shares IRQs and can cause problems.

  3. it was really just for today because i wanted to try it out.i ma getting a splitter tomorow and im hoping that all the problems will be solved
