What kind of codec do I need to read such wmv video files with my windows media player?

Yeah, the version of Media Player that comes with XP should have no problems with WMV/WMA files. Have you upgraded Media Player recently? I've seen a number of people having problems trying to get various types of videos to play in WMP 11 that they previously had no problems playing in earlier versions.
If cameras add ten pounds, why would people want to eat them?
