You can't make a DVD with only VOB files that will play on a set top player. You need the whole DVD structure. See 'WHAT IS' DVD to the upper left. If you have everything needed in a VIDEO_TS folder, you can use the freeware ImgBurn to burn to DVD.

You can reauthor the video or use a program like IFOEdit to recreate the IFOs and BUPs to make a complete DVD.

    And welcome to our forums.

  7. You can use dvd styler which is free to make a basic dvd structure and import .vob files and even make simple menus with backgrouds. It even supports importing mpeg's but you can lose quality if they are low resolution since on resize its all pixelated. Dvd styler is not perfect, current release is at beta but if you avoid using some buttons it has on offer it works well. I made a business quality dvd out of this program and others that helped me along to make the vobs. the windows version does not support burning to dvd but it does support exporting the final product to a folder on your hard drive which has the audio_ts and video_ts and after that is done you can playback the dvd from the hard drive in windvd or powerdvd or whatever. then to make the dvd all you do is burn the these folders to a dvd using the make dvd video option in nero. be sure to burn at the slowest speed for best quality burn and set the booktype in options to dvd-rom (this only works for dvd+r media) and enable 'maximum compatibility' option then burn. if you dont have vob files the process is more complex. What I did was make vobs from .wmv files with avs video convertor by doing anything to .avi with uncompressed video then in virtualdub i resized using a lancoz (spelling?) filter and adding borders (dvd on tvs crops somes of the image) this way I maintained quality when resizing, then I got avs video converter and made a dvd from each of .avi files. this made a folder on the hdd with a basic dvd that autoplays that .avi made into a .vob but before i let it burn, i stop it and harvest the .vobs from the temporary folder it put all the vobs etc into. hope this helps, ask more questions and i will try to help.

    Thanks,
    Rauli
