Do they still show in the BIOS screen? If so, try uninstalling the channels they are on in Device Manager, then reboot. That usually restores them. If that's a PCI card, try using a different PCI slot. The one under the AGP card is the worst to use as it shares IRQs.

ok....actually at first i thought it did, but unfortunately it did not

i followed the instructions exactly and deleted the upper and lower filters.
then uninstalled the existing drivers drivers (in control panel) just like the instructions said to do.

however upon restarting the computer the drivers did not re-install like the instructions said that they would.

i tried manually installing the drivers (control panel / add hardware) but windows gives me this message:
"Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing (code 39)"

    help please.

When installing these devices , your supposed to install the software package first , then shutdown and turn the pc off at power point ... install card (not in pci1 under agp ... NEVER) , and the system will pick it up from there .

However , ati are picky things ...

Pci2 / pci3 share resources and only one may have a card installed .
Pci4 / pci5 do the same ... only one can have a crad installed .

You may find you need to remove other cards , so as to find the pci slot the device works correctly

Under xp , as you dont have sp2 installed , you may require

Ms release a midi security patch that caused issues for capture devices .
